Happy 250th Birthday, America, the Beautiful.The fireworks were fabulous this year, weren’t they?! Neighbors in several directions went all out. We watched two firework shows, without having to leave Holly Creek Hollow. 

Our family celebrations started before Independence Day. Our wedding anniversary was on the 2nd. My husband really knows how to grill, smoke meats, and air fry on his Ninja Woodfire. For our anniversary, he grilled ribeye steaks and I made a fresh strawberry pie! 

For my birthday, he smoked babyback ribs and air fried sweet potato fries. To top it off, we enjoyed a scrumptious Caramel Toffee Crunch cake, our daughter-in-law baked, a masterpiece! My bestie prepared a special, birthday lunch the next day. On the third day we went to the Young Washington movie and dined at a local Chinese buffet. My birthday celebrations lasted three days. I felt loved, treasured, and in need of dieting, afterwards.
